Sinus Infection Consultation

A sinus infection, also known as sinusitis, is an inflammation of the sinuses, which are the air-filled spaces in the bones around the nose. It is usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection, or an allergic reaction. Sinus infections can be acute or chronic. Acute sinusitis usually last for a few weeks, while chronic sinusitis can last for several months or longer.

Symptoms of a sinus infection include nasal congestion, facial pain or pressure, headache, postnasal drip, thick nasal discharge, and a reduced sense of smell or taste. In some cases, fever and fatigue may also be present.
