Pain Relief Consultation

Pain relief for common acute injuries can be managed through a variety of methods. For mild to moderate pain, over-the-counter pain medications such as acetaminophen or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen or naproxen can be effective. These medications can be taken orally or applied topically to the affected area.

For more severe pain, a combination of these medications can be used in addition to physical therapy, rest, and ice or heat therapy. Physical therapy can help to improve range of motion, reduce inflammation and promote healing. Ice or heat therapy can also help to reduce pain and inflammation, depending on the type of injury.

FloridaRxNOW does NOT treat severe pain including but not limited to:  Abdominal/chest pain, fractures/broken bones, fibromyalgia, neuropathic (nerve) pain and other chronic conditions.
