Acid Reflux Consultation

Acid reflux, also known as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), is a condition in which the stomach contents, including acid, flow back into the esophagus. This can cause symptoms such as heartburn, chest pain, and a sour taste in the mouth. In some cases, acid reflux can also cause damage to the esophagus. Common triggers of acid reflux include certain foods, such as spicy or fatty foods, as well as smoking, alcohol, and certain medications.
